Ingredients
- 2 cup flour

- ½ tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp malted milk powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 eggs, separated
- ½ cup oil
- 1¾ cup milk

Directions
Prepare heart waffle iron with oil or spray. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and malt powder. In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks until thickened. Add vanilla, vegetable oil and milk. Stir into dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Beat egg whites until peaked but not dry. Fold gently into batter. Set batter aside for 5 minutes. Preheat closed waffle iron for 1 minute on burner. Pour about 1 cup of batter onto iron and bake until browned, about a minute and a half. Turn over and cook other side until done. Remove waffle gently with non metal spatula. Repeat until all waffles are made. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!

These were delicious! Very light and fluffy. My only problem was trying to find malt powder, the local Kroger doesn’t carry it, but my other local grocery did.

These waffles came out very puffy and delicious. Looked just like restaurant Belgian waffles, Used my new Sweetheart Waffler by Nordic Ware. Followed recipe exactly and letting the batter sit for 5 minutes produced a nice lift.
