Griddle French Toast

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/ 2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/ 4 cup milk
- 1/ 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slices country, brioche, or white bread
- 1/ 2 cup maple syrup, warmed
- Optional: Nutella
Directions
In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar and set aside. Place butter on griddle and melt over medium heat. Whisk together eggs, milk and vanilla adding cinnamon mixture gradually, pour into a shallow dish. Dip bread slices one at a time into egg mixture, turn to coat both sides. Transfer bread slices to griddle, cooking until golden brown, flip and continue cooking until both sides are browned. Serve with warm maple syrup and (optional) Nutella.
