Ginger Pork Fried Potstickers

Ingredients
- Potstickers:
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion (green & white parts)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 20 wonton wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Dipping Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
- ½ tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- Crushed pepper flakes, to taste
- Sesame seeds, to taste
- Optional: shredded carrots, sliced green onion
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix ground pork, onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce and sesame oil. Trim wonton wrappers with the bottom side of dumpling maker to form a 3” circle. Place cut wrapper on top of dumpling maker. Brush edge of wrapper with water and put a teaspoon of filling in the center. Fold the dumpling maker and squeeze edges together to seal. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.
In a small bowl, combine ingredients for dipping sauce and set aside.
Fry dumplings in deep-fat fryer according to manufacturer’s instructions until nicely browned. Drain on paper towel and serve with dipping sauce.
