Ingredients
- 2 apples, sliced 1/8” with mandolin slicer
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
Preheat oven to 200° F. Slice apples 1/8” thin with a mandolin. In a small bowl, combine the sugar, spices, and apples until thoroughly combined. Place the coated apple slices on the racks of 2 Oven Baking Pans (or place 2 oven safe cooling racks inside 2 standard baking sheets). Make sure apples are not overlapping and are in a single layer. Bake the apples for 1 hour. Flip apples on the rack and bake for another hour. When apples are ready, turn the oven off and let the apples completely cool in the oven

Very tasty, easy treat.
We tried both with the curry powder and with substituting cumin for the curry. Both were good.
A tasty snack will make again.

It’s pretty good. We aren’t fans of Curry so I left it out. It’s very sweet though and it really takes a long time. My daughters just ate the apples with the spices raw and loved them. Lots of sugar but they are a nice sweet treat. Mine were very wet and required almost another hour of cooking but they were ok. Not sure I’ll make it cooked again but the spice sprinkle is wonderful.
