These Vanilla Sugar Cookies are simple, quick, and absolutely delicious with a sweet vanilla flavor and perfect sugar cookie texture. The best recipe for all our Cookie Stamp designs in creating stunning cookie creations, without any decorating!
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 2/ 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/ 2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Cream butter and brown sugar with electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to batter slowly. Blend thoroughly. Turn out dough on surface and knead until smooth. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Let dough sit out for a few minutes to soften slightly. Roll into golf-ball sized balls and press with cookie presses on baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Carefully remove and cool on rack. Repeat steps with remaining dough.

These cookies are SO easy and tasty. They come out very tender. I substituted white sugar and added lemon zest and they turned out great. A must-try!

Fabulous recipe! I did add more flour while kneading which I think gave it more of a shortbread taste. It was a huge hit. Definitely will be making again.

Worked beautifully. Had to put dough back in fridge as it began to stick when it got a little warm. Once chilled back stamped wonderfully with no sticking to stamp. Haven’t tasted them yet but they baked beautifully.
