Metal utensils and cleaning brushes will scratch the surface of your pan and are not recommended; however, scratches do not change the cooking properties or safety of your pans, which are made to last a lifetime.
CARE FOR YOUR PANS
Natural aluminum pans will develop a patina with time and use; to brighten them up, try scrubbing with lemon juice, vinegar, cream of tartar or baking soda.
Hand wash recommended with warm, soapy water.
Automatic dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur from detergent reacting with aluminum. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking properties or safety of the pan.

I like the pan. Great heft – not flimsy. Since I bake gluten free it helps with the browning since gluten free flours do not brown easily.

I love these pie pans. They are so much better than my old glass ones. They brown the crust more evenly. I don’t worry with these. The results are dependable.
