Product Reviews

This pan is a showstopper. I love the bee and honeycomb detail and how easy it is to pull apart. For my first recipe I made Tea Cakes (a British recipe) to share and it was a huge success. Everyone loved the size of the cakes and asked about the pan.

If you butter the pan, the cake comes out easily. Thereafter it is easy to clean too. The heat spreads evenly throughout the pan during baking.

    Highly recommended!

I love this pan! Easy to use, clean, and store I find excuses to bake anything into honeycomb bee shapes! Whisky / honey cake, corn bread, short bread .. it’s my favourite pan!

This is beautiful pan, I made brownies in it. They came out spectacular. The release was perfect. Will not disappoint.

Initially I had issues with release with just butter/oil, then generously floured (shaking excess loose) and had flawless release and definition. Made 9 honey cakes for Rosh Hashanah and they were all moist and visually appealing. If I could figure out how to post pics I would.

The pan is beautiful and I just baked this for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, where dull honey cake is the norm and never appeals to us. I used 2/3 of the recipe based on reviews online saying the recipe was too large for the pan. 2/3 was perfect. I didn’t get anywhere near the definition that I see in online pics. Suggestions?

Have used the pan several times. Followed instructions to the letter.
I have yet to have the product release from the pan. Looking for tips. Rate 1.

Great quality so pretty will display and enjoy using.

I find using a 6 or 7 cup mix is perfect. I doesn’t overfill and it pulls apart clearly.

As a former Beekeeper I received this pan as a gift. My daughter bought the pan and gifted me with the same. I made the cake and it was delicious. One has to be meticulous in coating the pan but your efforts will pay off. It’s great for a party because it makes 19 individual portions, and the portion size is perfect.

My boyfriend gave this and another Nordic Ware pan for Christmas, and I am in love with it! I have used it twice now, and am just so happy with how the cakes come out and show the fine details of the molding.

I have made lavender honey scones in it, primarily for brunches, and and excited to continue to use it more often!

I like the looks of the finished cake. It comes out of the pan with ease and is easy to clean. Follow the directions for preparing the pan and you won’t have any difficulty of your cake coming out. I made the honeycomb cake for a crowd and many people asked not only for the recipe, but also where I purchased the pan.

Love this pan. I have used box mix and scratch….this pan works great. The cake releases easily with Pam perfect release with flour. Great portion control… eat one or more! Looks great decorated or just powdered sugar.

Love this pan. I got it because of my bee keeping obsession and it’s turned out to bee my new favorite pan for cakes, pull breads and other breakfast goodies. I’ve always had good luck and stuck by nordicware products and this was no different than all the other high quality pans of theirs I own. I use butter and flour to keep my cakes from sticking and I’ve always had good luck with my cakes turning out well – details of bee wings and honey comb included.

    Made the lemon honey cake.
    Beautiful.

Ordered this recently and decided to make brownies in it. It worked well with a recipe that usually fits 9×13 pans. They came out of the pan incredibly easily and the design held up really well on the brownies! They pull apart super easily too. It’s so cute and I can’t wait to make more treats in it! While the brownies slid right out, it was a bit more difficult to hand wash because of all the small crevices.

A perfect pan for making my prize winning honey cake. I love the detail, and being able to pull or cut apart. Pretty easy to clean, I always worry about detailed pans. Haven’t owned too long, but I think it will be used quite often.

I used the recipe that came with the pan, and it overflowed. Luckily I had a sheet pan underneath to catch the batter. It was a very spongy cake and fell apart a little bit, but it was still beautiful with a lot of detail. The recipe was delicious too. I look forward to trying denser cake recipes in this pan in the future.

Just bought this and used it for cornbread-had cornbread using this pan at a restaurant in Chicago. The cornbread turned out easily in one large piece.

I have a favorite Greek Style Honey Cake recipe for which I bought this pan. Only twice did the cake come cleanly out of the pan. Several occasions it did not. Two of those occasions were for a special event, and the cake simply did not come out, both times were disastrous. Not even a chance of piecing it back together. I don’t blame the pan too much, the cake is a very light; sponge-type cake. Although I’ve never made a dense cake in this, such as a pound cake, I expect that it would come out just fine. I found storing the cake pan a bit cumbersome given its odd shape and the amount of time I’ve used it. I’ve ended up gifting it to another beekeeper friend, and she is delighted with it (although she has yet to use it).

    Perfection every time.

I bought this pan because I had a piece of the cake (recipe comes with the pan) when I was buying honey from a vendor at our local farmers market. It was so delicious, and I thought the cake was so lovely, that I went online and ordered it before I even got home. The pan is very attractive, and I plan on leaving it out to display when I’m not using it to make honeycomb cake.
