Really like this. I had a small annoying sifter for years and finally gave it up for flour in favor of spooning lightly. But recently ive been using more cocoa and powdered sugar and encountered a few lumps that didnt get resolved. Strainers werent doing it for me. So i decided i needed a sifter. I came across this when i was looking for something to bump me up to free shipping.( honesty here!) and am glad i found it. I had found one on Amazon that i intended to get that would not have been nearly as satisfactory.
What i like:
1. It will hold three cups and is marked to give you a good approximate measure. I would say previous sifter held one cup. I now have both two and three cup measures and this matches up with them great.
2 i like the crank mechanism. My previous after had one of those squeeze mechanisms that was a little small for my hand and got annoying when you had to sift more than a cup or two. I’ve been really into Bundt cakes which often use a lot of flour.
3 i like the vintage look and feel! Baking for me is a spiritual connection to the long line of bakers and their traditions through history. I beat egg whites by hand in a copper bowl — you the idea.

Works just like my “old” one from 40 years ago. Great!

This works well and what I really liked was how easy it was to clean in comparison to other sifters I have had. Definitely recommend
