Before initial use and after subsequent uses, hand wash with warm, soapy water.
For microwave and storage use only.
Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it may discolor the product.
Use of metal utensils may scratch the surface of this product and therefore is not recommended.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Add 1/3 cups popcorn kernels to base. If desired, add 1-2 Tbsp oil (not necessary). Place lid on the bowl.
Microwave on HIGH for approximately 2-4 minutes. Cook time will vary based on microwave wattage. When popping slows down, it’s done!
Immediately remove lid using an oven mitt, and let cool 1 minute. Add butter or seasoning if desired. Enjoy! Do not try to re-pop unpopped kernels.

The Nordic Ware microwave corn popper is wonderful. it is easy to use, putting in just 1/3 cup of popcorn and in 3-4 minutes i have wonderful air popped popcorn. It was sent well packaged and arrived within days after i placed the order. i am so glad that i purchased this popcorn popper. also glad that it is made in USA.

My mom got me this when they went to a popcorn farm, they had gotten my husband and I a “popcorn flight” of different corn kernels to try and knew we didn’t have an air popper. We LOVE this popper. I am a popcorn farm raised kid – now very senior citizen.
Pop most days.
My popping hack:
1/3 cup kernels (more is waste – nature of popcorn)
2-3 tbsps good oil
place large paper towel over bowl (absorbs oily steam)(absorbs popcorn steam w/o oil)
place lid over paper towel
3:10 on high (900 watts)(adj to your machine: less watts more seconds; more watts less seconds)
pops most kernels; I average 18-24 unpopped)
lid does deform slightly, but not disfunctional – towel keeps popped kernels in and lessens clean up.
Tip: sift popped with fryer basket – unpopped kernels drop out
My favorite: permesan buttered popcorn:
Put popped in large paper sack, drizzle with plenty melted butter to taste, toss in grated parmesan cheese to taste. Shake really well. ENJOY! Total time: 10-15 minutes.

Have been using this popper for a while and liked it so much we decided to get some for Christmas for our loved ones.

We absolutely love this popcorn popper! Love that you can pop with or without oil. My brother and nephew went out and bought these poppers the day that they had popcorn made from the popper I gifted to my parents. We got ours several years ago and have given many of them as gifts to friends and family who eat a lot of microwave popcorn. So much healthier! The lid does warp after use though so I agree that it would be nice if Nordicware sold replacement lids separately.

Love this so much. We use it every night. So much better for you and better tasting than bags of microwaved popcorn.

I’ve had this microwave popper for 1 yr. I use it everyday and have had no issues with it or the lid. I’ve tried numerous other brands and ended up tossing them out.

I make a bowl of popcorn almost every night and have tried many different brands until I found the NordicWare Microwave Popcorn Popper. It pops the kernels perfectly and is very easy to clean. No oil or butter needed unless you want to add those. The company is super also. I had one small problem after using mine for about a year and a half and they were kind enough to send out a new one free of charge. Great product, great company, and great customer service.

Makes ungreasy popcorn in about 3 minutes, light and airy. Pops 90% of the kernels every time, slightly better than prepackaged bags in that regard.

Surprised to find out it’s oven safe up to 400*F, and awesome that it’s dishwasher safe, makes cleanup a breeze.

We’ve owned this popcorn popper for quite some time. It’s now heavily discolored, to be fair, but still does the job. As it has outlasted two microwaves (oh yes, it has), we have also found that how well it works is (no surprise) at least somewhat dependent on the microwave, which probably has to do with where the microwaves are focused. In any case, the now heavily stained lid is not made to fit tightly; it must permit steam to escape. The design means you can air-pop (no added oils) or add butter or seasoning later if you prefer. Great versatility, and it’s paid for itself many times over, while reducing the waste of ready-made paper bags of popcorn. Whether you buy it for the versatility of your own seasonings, or for the ecological benefits, or the savings, if you’ve got a microwave, this is your popper.

The Microwave Popcorn Popper is a great addition to a popcorn lovers kitchen. The popcorn comes out light and fluffy. We like to add butter, salt and Penezy’s Spices to give the popcorn our flavor. However for the person who just wants plain popcorn, this product works very well. Super Happy!

This is my first microwave popper. Great idea but, although the bowl is just fine the lid only lasts a very short time. The lid warps, once this happens it no longer fits the bowl and allows the kernels to escape the bowl becoming lodged under the microwave turntable.

On the plus side, clean up is easy, quality of the popcorn is very good. I like the flexibility in that you can load the popcorn with oil and seasoning or pop it with nothing added, very good feature.

This would be a 5 star produce for sure if only the lid were of good quality,
Unfortunately this is not the case. Worse yet I have not been able to locate replacement lids. Come on Nordic Ware, get with the program.

Greatest microwave popcorn maker ever

I used to buy microwave popcorn and watch a movie. But it was fattening and expensive. Now I found a device that I can make my own microwave popcorn that is as good OR even better than movie theatre popcorn.

Attached are the front and back of it that I bought at Walmart.

Suggested:
No oil, 1/3 cup high quality popcorn (but very boring but no calories)
( or )
1 tablespoon of good oil, 1/3 cup high quality popcorn (good)
( or )
2 tablespoons of good oil, 1/3 cup high quality popcorn (great)
( or )
2 tablespoons of good oil, 1/3 cup high quality popcorn, butter (excellent)

Works great perfect popcorn every time.

This bowl gives you the taste of stove top popcorn with the convenience of the microwave! It’s a win win as you control the type and amount of oil added to the bowl for popping-no guessing

Bought my popper November 26,2018 online and I love it. I’ve had 4 popcorn poppers by other companies in my life, and this popper is by far the cleanest, fastest and easiest to use. But, I have one problem: the edges that fit into the groove are starting to splay out and so the lid starts to slide off the top. Some people are referring to this as warping. Maybe I had a defective lid because I don’t think this should be happening so soon. Would love to know where I can obtain another lid, instead of buying a new popcorn popper. I read some of the reviews here and I hope you’ll reach out to me, since my popper isn’t that old. I’m sure it’s a defective lid construction issue.

I purchased this Microwave Popcorn Popper # 60120 on Thursday March 21, 2019 from the Nordic Ware store in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. My wife and I have made some awesome popcorn in our microwave.We eat a lot of popcorn. We like how the Nordic Ware Microwave Popcorn Popper # 60120 pops without any oil. We love dry popcorn. But we do add some melted butter on our popcorn after it has been popped to perfection. You can add some oil if you prefer too !

I use a great quality corn (Orville R) and try anywhere from a scant 1/4 cup to a full 1/4 cup. Every once in a while it will pop all. But most of the time, it pops just half. I’ve tried the product in 3 different microwaves with the same result. What is the trick to getting a full container?

Had another brand popper for several years but it got old. Bought the Nordic about 5 months ago. It does an excellent job of popping, but the corners on the lid have turned up slightly and the lid slides over while popping which allows kernels and popcorn into the microwave. Love the popcorn, but not the mess.

Love this popper however, I cant get all the kernals to pop, what am I doing wrong? I put 1/3 cup for 3 mins 1100 watt and still not all popped…but love the taste nice and light…

Have had this for a couple of years and simply love it. I put about two-thirds of a cup of kernels in (yes it overflows but but my dog loves popcorn too. I also use a little oil and salted butter for flavour. 3 mins 10secs in an 1,100 watt microwave …… YUMMMM!!!!!

Use at least twice a week, best popper ever

We have four of these units now. My husband has one for his office and his apartment(he works away from Home). We have one for home and one for our camper. It takes a bit of time to figure out the best length of time to run it in the microwave. Just listening for the popping to stop does not always produce good results. We have scorched a batch or two. But the unit does clean up well and the smell is gone after washing in the sink. Very pleased with this popper.

I love this popper. I searched endlessly to find the right crunchy fluffy texture. And this popper exceeded my expectations in price and performance.

If the thin clear plastic lid would not have warped and then cracked I would still be able to enjoy this clever kit to make popcorn. I am trying to find how to buy a replacement lid so i can continue to use. Otherwise the kernals go everywhere inside the microwave. Wish it were designed better.

I had been using a previous microwave popper that warped after a few uses. A friend of mine recommended this one. I eat popcorn on a daily basis as a diet friendly snack. Unfortunately, the lid became “ever so slightly” warped and it’s never been the same. Tho’ I only hand wash my dishes, the lid warp occurred over time and ruins the popping quality.

My family loves popcorn and I have tried a lot of poppers. This one is dependable and simple to use! It pops any brand or kind of popcorn perfect each time! I never use oil and I get great popcorn consistently! My grandchildren get excited when they see me take it out because they know it means blankets, movies and great popcorn!

I can’t tell you how many years I’ve had this Popper but, when I went to buy one for my Son, whose married and has a family now, I couldn’t find it in the stores anywhere. Checked on line and Voila!!! I have since bought 4 more of them. This popper is the best. I can’t say enough about it except buy it and enjoy. You’ll never again buy that stuff in the super market with all that added guck.

I have owned the Nordic popcorn popper for years. Just purchased a new one. I love the Nordic. I am addicted to popcorn and eat it several times a week. I pop dry, when done, drizzle a little olive oil and add either garlic powder or small amount of salt. Delicious. Just purchased another one for a friend’s birthday. She loves it.

One of my most-used kitchen items. This is my third one. I dropped one on a tile floor and broke it. I wore one out…the lid got too warped and the inside was just too stained up.,,so I treated myself to a new one.

Rare that I ever write reviews but this product deserves it. Have used a Nordic popcorn popper for many years, my newest one for just a few months and never an issue. making great popcorn with and without oil. When people ask I always recommend this one. My only disappointment is the additional 30% charge when shipped to Canada. Always been that way even when the US/Canadian dollar was on par. But even with that additional cost a reliable and consistent item for making great popcorn.

This pop corn popper is really the best thing since sliced bread. My only caution is, if you aren’t sure of the popping time, be sure that you underestimate, rather than over estimate, the popping time. Microwaves are not uniform, and neither is popcorn. Underestimate, then go in 10 second increments. Listen for those pops! If you over do the cooking time, your beautiful popcorn popper will become stained. Still functional, but visually a little worse for the wear. I liked my first one so much that when it wore out do to years of use, I bought another. Love this popcorn popper!

The best popcorn maker that makes the best popcorn. You haven’t had GREAT tasting popcorn until you’ve used this “popcorn popper”. According to the type of microwave you have will determine the time needed to complete popping. I recommend following instruction, but keep in mind, and rule of thumb, if you do not hear a single pop in 3 seconds, turn microwave off because it is done. It may take a few times trying before you get your own method down-pat, but you’ll be having the best popcorn you ever had. Also, instead of butter, melting a little coconut oil and drizzling it over the popcorn is a healthy alternative, and absolutely delicious. ENJOY!

I had forgotten how good popcorn out of a microwave could be. I melt a little bit of butter, cook the popcorn as in the directions, pour the bit of butter (just enough to taste like butter – about 2 tsp), and a little bit of salt. Popcorn nirvana. Better even than in a pan on the stove. Fabulous.

I received two hot air, one hot oil popper and the Nordicware for Christmas. The Nordicware is superior to all the other poppers. Very few unpopped kernels.
